Put the Milling Power in Your Hands

Put the Milling Power in Your Hands

A milling machine is already an impressive piece of equipment when it comes to cutting parts and other metals to exact specifications. However, nothing is perfect and improvements can be made. Adding an accessory can improve the performance and output of the machines, and even provide better control over your equipment. Something like a hand-held remote control encases all of these aspects.

What Can A Hand-Held Remote Do?

First and foremost, the remote will give any user better functionality, which ultimately will lead to better productivity by the machine. If it were to be used by everyone within the company there’s no telling what level their productivity would reach.

The hand-held remote has several knobs for spindle and feed speed control on the machine, as well as a joystick to jog any of the axes on the milling machines. It also would include a go button to help run the milling program loaded on a host computer.

Just in case of an emergency, the remote comes with a kill button that will immediately stop the program.

Another simple but helpful feature is that it comes with Velcro, ideal for easy mounting and plugs directly into the control unit of the machine. Simply put, the hand-held remote adds not only convenience but time-saving features to any milling machine.

29. Create a Peck Drilling Program in Circular or Rectangular Patterns
Using the Circular or Rectangular Drilling Wizards, you can program the machine to drill an un-limited series of holes along the X and Y planes. Program it to drill straight through to your total depth, use a high-speed pecking cycle, or deep hole pecking cycle. You can program the cut-in depth and return point for a controlled peck drill application to maximize chip clearance.
