Royal 5C Collet Closers enable 5C collets to be used on any manual lathe or workhead. Royal collet closers can also be installed on CNC lathes that are not equipped with hydraulic actuators. For CNC lathes that already have hydraulic actuators, we recommend you check out our comprehensive line of CNC collet chucks.

Collet closers improve productivity by handling many turning jobs faster and more accurately than standard three-jaw lathe chucks. Other advantages include 360° workpiece contact and improved tool clearance.

Please note that Royal collet closers are not stock items — they incorporate several components that are custom-machined to fit each individual lathe spindle. We normally build and ship all collet closers within two weeks of the order date. Our engineering department maintains a database of hundreds of lathe models sold in this country,but occasionally our ordering instruction sheet must be completed to ensure an accurate fit.
